Master's level social workers are primary providers of mental health services in the USA. Mohamad Nagi graduated with a Master of Social Work from one of the oldest and largest schools in the United States of America: Rutgers University, also known as the State University of New Jersey. The Master of Social Work is a 2-year, full-time program consisting of coursework (60 credit hours) and supervised internships (over 1000 hours). Mohamad is educated in clinical social work, equipping him with the necessary skills and knowledge to diagnose and treat a variety of mental disorders. Mohamad has worked with diverse populations in the USA and in Egypt.
Additionally, Mohamad earned a master's level certificate in violence against women and children from Rutgers, providing him with specialized training to support survivors of abuse and domestic violence. The certificate advanced his policy-level knowledge of the field and supplemented his ability to create effective, clinical interventions aimed at promoting safety.
Prior to becoming a clinical social worker, Mohamad studied at the American University in Cairo, completing a bachelor’s degree in journalism. In the years leading up to graduate school, Mohamad accumulated a wide variety of professional experiences; including journalism, refugee aid, and education.
